Worldpremiere Waterfront at Hermitage Amsterdam

The opening of the Hermitage Museum in Amsterdam is given added lustre by a performance by the Dutch National Ballet. To mark the occasion the Company dances a new work by Resident Choreographer Hans van Manen entitled Waterfront, set to music from Modest Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition. Van Manen’s new piece is danced by Larissa Lezhnina and Alex Zhembrovskyy
The opening on Friday 19 June will be attended by a wide array of international celebrities. A stage on the Amstel is to be built specially for the occasion and the opening also marks the start of the Hermitage’s first exhibition entitled Russian Imperial Court.
